Dr. Pappas:
I have heard from Dr Panepethemetakis who also uses a PAP IMI Device, that he was able to regulate high fever, particularly associated with acute hypatitis. Can you tell us your personal experience on the same matter?

Dr. Tsilimigakis:
The conclusions of my experience is as follows: While a patient has a high fever say of 40 C degrees, after 10 to 15 minutes of PAP IMI application on the face or on the head -placing the probe like a hat, a temperature drop occurs in the order of 1 or 2 degrees less than it was. That is, in many cases during 10 to 15 minutes temperature falls from 40 to 38 while an anti-fever medication was not working. A patient with 38 C degrees may drop to normal temperature with a similar application. The higher the fever is, the bigger the drop occurs, after only about 10-15 minutes time.

In such a case the procedure is simple. One places the probe on the front head or on top of the head so that it is adjacent (practically touching the head accordingly) for 10 to 15 minutes, on 2-3 pps and on high setting. This comes from my personal experience over many years, treating the head for various other reasons and recently for cases with particular high fever. I think certainly it is a very interesting phenomenon which should be thoroughly investigated to find how such exposures act presumably on the hypophysis, and how this action on the temperature-regulating centers of the brain cause a reaction to regulate high fever towards normal temperature. It is a very interesting theoretical subject, too.

Dr. Pappas:
Did you have a personal experience on this matter?

Dr. Tsilimigakis:
Yes, indeed. Recently, I had high fever for a long period because of an injury followed by a severe heamatoma. While this heamatoma was absorbed or dissolved, I had high fever apparently due to high toxins level in my body causing the fever reaction.

Dr. Pappas:
How long did you have this heamatoma?

Dr. Tsilimigakis:
Actually the high fever lasted longer than the heamtoma itself for about two months, for before it, I had an amigdalitis infection which I discovered afterwards and that lasted fifteen days, before my accidental injury while playing foot ball. With the start of amigdalitis, I had a fever in the order of 37 to 37.7 which after PAP IMI applications was always dropping to normal and allowed me to play foot ball.

Dr. Pappas:
How long the temperature-drop lasted each time after the PAP IMI exposure?

Dr. Tsilimigakis:
It lasted for about two to three hours, exactly like an anti-fever medication. While having the injury the same time, my temperature was at 40 C degrees, dropping each time to 38 C degrees and the same time I was feeling much better.

During a period of two months, I had a systematic personal opportunity to test this effect on all various levels of high fever. During the latent amigdalitis, I had the opportunity to see the effect on moderate high fevers and later during my severe injury I had the opportunity to see the same effect on relatively serious situations of very high fever. No doubt, it worked all the times with an immediate temperature drop, as I said, of the order of 1 to 2 degrees, depending on the fever. The higher the fever, the bigger the drop, after about 10-15 minutes time.

Dr. Pappas:
Thank you for offering generously yourself in a critical situation for these decisive tests to confirm a tremendously valuable just found medical phenomenon which certainly will advance the scientific knowledge on human temperature control by the brain. I believe this is the beginning of a scientific breakthrough. Thank Dr Tsilimigakis.

Dr. Tsilimigakis:
Thank you, too, Dr Pappas.
